Shocking video has emerged showing Jon Bon Jovi’s voice, to be weakened, to say the least. If you haven’t seen it, prepare yourself, especially if you’re a Bon Jovi fan, like me. It’s one thing in an artists life to have vocal changes as time moves on. It’s another to be caught exposed on video, before you can fix it.
Sambora, who left the band in 2013, is thinking about returning, for the fans, and another reason: his friend, Jon. Sambora, was in integral part of the Bon Jovi machine. He co-wrote, You Give Love A Bad Name, Wanted Dead Or Alive, Living On A Prayer and more. No slam to John Oates, of Hall and Oates, but Richie was more to Jon, than John was to, Daryl.
The public story of Richie leaving the band was due to his substance abuse, that began to affect his work in the band. While it was a mutual parting, Jon says it was hard, because, reports say, he lost a friend.
Almost ten years later, a sober Sambora is having fond thoughts of his past friendship and amazing career with really, the only BIG job he had (other than fatherhood.) In recent headlines, stories have emerged reporting that artist Richie Sambora could be in talks to rejoin the band Bon Jovi. Add to that, the shoe maybe on the other foot. As mentioned above, Jon Bon Jovi these days seems to be voice challenged. Can Richie swoop in and help? According to radaronline.com, Richie was reported saying:
Jon was having a hard time with his voice a little bit there and he needed to take a little bit of a breather.
I don’t know when Jon’s going to get his voice together and [when the Bon Jovi reunion is] going to happen, but we have to get out there and do it for the fans, really.
I am here to say, this is not to slam Jon. I adore him. Let’s hope he can regroup and bring back the sound we all love! Take a listen to this video. The quality isn’t great, but you’ll get the idea. Maybe if Richie rejoins Bon Jovi, he can help bring back Jon Bon Jovi’s voice.
