Brad Pitt Gets Facelift?
Are we actually reading a headline that says: Brad Pitt Gets Facelift?
What? Say it isn’t so. Do my eyes deceive me?
Well reportedly, in the new upside down world we are living in, it’s true.
Just in time for the Academy Awards Sunday night March 10th on ABC, one of Hollywood’s most perfect faces, Brad Pitt is getting a touch up. Has Brad Pitt ever seen Brad Pitt? Brad, had you ever heard of New Coke? Wendy’s price surging? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Another face reportedly getting lifted for the Oscar’s is Bradley Cooper.
According to the American Academy Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, men are the newest customers:
For men, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty and facelifts, in that order, followed by revision surgery and forehead lifts, were the most requested surgical procedures. Among those looking noticeably refreshed this year are Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper. The going rate for a first-class facelift these days? $250,000.
The new click-bait headline many social media and news outlets are using is: “So and So is unrecognizable in recent photo.” One of those targets is TV icon Simon Cowell.
Simon Cowell Facelift
This Pitt story could be getting more traction than needed because of the recent social media response to the new face of one Simon Cowell.
Some on social do not approve of Simon’s recent cosmetic work:
Jennifer Grey Unrecognizable?
The most famous reaction to cosmetic surgery in recent years? After “Dirty Dancing” star Jennifer Grey emerged from a nose job, the world had a collective jaw drop. While she looked attractive to many, her adorable “baby in the corner” nose was gone. To many, she was unrecognizable. Personally, I like the before, AND AFTER. But in her own words, Grey admits the nose job hurt her career because she did in fact become, unrecognizable. In Vanity Fair:
Grey painfully recalls no longer being recognized by photographers and becoming a national punch line due to her plastic surgeries. “Being misunderstood on a global stage was very painful,” Grey told The Times. The big takeaway here was that Jennifer herself had no problem with her original nose according to the article. But she reacted to others.
With all this said, one’s personal choice is none of our business.
But for Brad Pitt getting a facelift, I will guess that his millions of fans will prefer Brad being like a Coke, and stay classic. Call Jennifer Grey.
