It’s just my way of looking out for you, the weary summer traveler packed with kids, pets and luggage for your Summer vacations. Heck, Memorial Day is only 26 days! But before we discover which states do not run on Dunkin, let’s check the stats.
How Many Dunkin Locations Are There?
If you look at the metrics, America really does run on Dunkin. According to the Dunks website:
Dunkin’, founded in 1950, is the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States, with more than 13,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. Dunkin’ is part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants.
Dunkin Radio News

No Dunks In These 5 States?
This is hard to believe, but there are a handful of states that do NOT have a Dunks location. According to scrapehero.com there are 45 states and territories that DO have Dunks locations. We know most of them. The top five states with the most Dunks are, New York, Massachusetts, Florida, New Jersey and Illinois.
But where are the poor states that don’t enjoy the liquid gold that we start our day with, each morning? Scrapehero reports:
If you live in Idaho, Puerto Rico, North Dakota, South Dakota, American Samoa, Washington, Oregon, Guam, Montana, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or the Northern Mariana Islands then you’re out of luck, according to ScrapeHero. In total, there are 11 states and territories without Dunkin Donuts locations in the United States.
I can see why we won’t find a Dunkins in the state of Washington. That’s where Starbucks was founded, and is still headquartered. But, things can change.
