John Legend In Massachusetts Could Be Your Neighbor

Massachusetts has it's share of A-list celebrities that own a place here. Add a new name! Grammy singer and The Voice judge John Legend in Massachusetts could be your neighbor. Before we send our spies into the weeds of celebrity spying, what stars DO live here?

Sometimes you see them in the Back Bay. Aerosmith rocker Joe Perry, owns a place in Duxbury. Celtics great Bob Cousy owns a house TWO minutes from where I grew up in Worcester. He still lives there! Morning Show star, Steve Carell is from Acton, and owns a family variety store in Marshfield. A few summers ago, we caught wind of something VERY cool. Every once in awhile, when he's not working, Steve Carell comes back to Marshfield and gives back to his community, by making an IN person appearance at his family store! About 300 excited fans showed up to meet Steve and get an autograph. It's a very nice, intimate event. Everyone is respectful by keeping it off social media. That way it doesn't draw a ridiculous crowd that the town can't control.

Many years ago, pop icon Carly Simon participated in a Northeast radio station meet and greet, inviting winners to her HOUSE in Martha's Vineyard! Lucky fans were bused to her house, with only one rule: to protect her privacy, the windows on the buses were covered, so fans could not see where Carly actually lived.

So why was the Grammy singer in our great state? Legend was here Labor Day weekend after performing in Lenox Massachusetts at Tanglewood. Legend and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen with kids in tow spent time in quaint Lenox, according to her social. Reports say the couple stayed at the posh FIVE STAR Wheatleigh Resort in the Berkshires. Cost for a night starts around $700 PER night, if my research is correct. In Chrissy's Instagram post, she refers to Real Housewives Of New York star, Dorinda Medley, who lives in the Berkshires. 

Dorinda is not the only celeb that has a place in the Berkshires. Add in James Taylor, Chris Evans, the afore mentioned Steve Carell, and George Clooney, to name a few. Maybe John Legend and Chrissy Teigen is next?

Marshfield, MA – The Aerosmith front man has a massive estate in Marshfield. You can still catch him there from time to time.

Marshfield Hills, MA – The Office star still has a home out in Marshfield and also own a store in that same area. You really need to check it out if you are ever in the area.

Chilmark, MA - Former SNL star has a home up island on Martha's Vineyard. He’s also the co-founder of the House of Blues. He's also the co-founder of Crystal Head Tequila.

Andover, MA – The former Tonight Show Host and car enthusiasts is now spending most his time in Massachusetts. We wish Jay a speedy recovery after a severe motorcycle accident.

Chilmark, MA – The couple have a home in Chilmark on Martha's Vineyard. (Dan Aykroyd is a neighbor!) Ted Danson stared in the 80's sitcom Cheers. Mary Steenburgen won an Oscar for her performance in Melvin and Howard.

Cambridge, MA – He has a massive mansion in Cambridge worth a small penny. Most times he’s on the road but still calls Cambridge his hub. He's most notable for staring in the movie Being John Malkovich.

Cambridge, MA – Yes, we all know who Elizabeth Warren is. When she’s not fighting for commonwealth of Massachusetts in DC , she can be found living in Cambridge. She’s been there for over 20 years!

Oaks Bluffs, MA – The award winning Director and Huge New York sports fan owns a home on the the Vineyard. He also had a feud with long time Boston Celtic Paul Pierce.

Chatham, MA – Ranked among the top 60 best-selling male artists in the United States, by the Recording Industry Association of America. Connick Jr. owns a summer house in Chatham.

Martha’s Vineyard, MA – The singer songwriter has had a place in The Vineyard since 1983 when her and James Taylor where married. She now solely owns the property after her divorce from James Taylor.

Berkshires, MA – The full time Massachusetts resident can be found out in the Berkshires, Lenox to be exact. You can still catch him perform live this summer at Tanglewood.

Tyringham, MA – The legendary Chinese-American Cellist has a home out in Tyringham. Have any idea where that is? Well it’s out in western Mass near the NY-MA boarder. He also is still releasing new music.
