Joe Buck Big Game Bad Luck Come True?
When you think of the word luck, of course Las Vegas comes to mind. But if you’re ESPN Monday Night Football sportscaster Joe Buck, Big Game could mean bad luck.
The Big Game hype has hit fever pitch as the world will focus on Sin City this weekend. The world champs Kansas City Chiefs will face the come-from-behind hopefuls San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium Sunday night at 6:30 on CBS. The halftime performer is Usher. Singing the national anthem is country music star Reba McEntire.
Add to that will be an entire other show: Taylor Swift who will cheer on her BF, Chiefs player Travis Kelce from a reported $2.5 million dollar suite.
Joe Buck Predicts “A Mess” Is Coming Sunday
In a now famous rant, sportscaster Joe Buck shares he is spooked about Sunday. Maybe Joe is jealous that he’s not calling the game. Reports say Joe “predicts a mess because the game is in Vegas.” According to The New York Post:
There’s going to be some story, there’s gonna be something that happens because it’s Vegas and it won’t stay in Vegas. I don’t know what it is, no idea. I just think that is going to be a mess in my mind.”
But wait. If you look at news surrounding the big game, maybe the Joe Buck bad luck train has left the station.
JetBlue Jets Collide At Logan
One of the biggest stories to break in Boston this week came from Logan Airport as two JetBlue jets touched each other on a runway. No one was hurt. What’s the connection to the Big Game?
Beasley Broadcasting Boston staffers were on one of the jets headed to the Big Game! According to Boston’s Hot 969:
Director of Sales for Beasley Boston, Brian Schneekloth, and Vice President Market Manager of Beasley Boston, Mary Menna, were both booked on JetBlue flight 777. The flight was headed to Las Vegas early Thursday morning when two JetBlue planes collided.
According to Brian, “We hit them, it was like a crash. You heard a jarring crash. I thought it was a de-icer.”
Following the crash, Brian and Mary said they were left on the runway for an hour before being brought back to the gate. The second plane was flight 551 and was headed to Orlando.
Pat Mahomes Father Arrested
In a shocking story, the father of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was arrested last week for a DUI charge. According to TMZ:

Superbowl Performer Replaced After Dropping Out
Popculture.com reports:
After Grammy-winning DJ Tiësto was forced to drop out of his Super Bowl performance slot due to a family emergency, Kaskade will be taking his place as the first in-game DJ. Kaskade and the NFL announced the news Thursday night on Instagram, with the DJ calling the opportunity “mind-blowing” in a statement.
Taylor Swift Snafu On Stage In Tokyo
You can clearly see Taylor miss her mark on the seat while performing in Tokyo this week. According to parade.com:
While lowering her body from a standing position onto the chair, Swift, 34, appeared to lose track of where the edge of the seat was and almost stumbled off of it. She quickly regained her balance while squatting and continued her performance without missing a beat.

Add to that, Taylor is performing again in Tokyo Saturday night, and reportedly will fly back in time to watch Sunday’s game in person. According to the US Embassy in Japan, she will make it in time:
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” the embassy said on 🇯🇵 Statement from the Embassy of Japan on Taylor Swift’s Reported Travel from Japan to the United States ✈️🏈 Are you ready for it? pic.twitter.com/wFKadehTJk
Taylor will most likely use her private jet to make it back in time! But wait! Did she sell it?
The 34-year-old singer-songwriter has been under pressure to cut down on her carbon emissions for years, especially as she travels around the world between tour shows and appearances to support boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce at his NFL games. Taylor Swift has sold one of her private jets for $40 million, according to a new report.
WHEW! Thank goodness she still has ONE left!
Let’s hope that the Joe Buck Big Game bad luck won’t come true!
