Real Life “Rocket” Racoon Is Saved After Abuse in Quincy
Fan of Marvel’s Guardian’s Of The Galaxy Volume 3 know that half human, half racoon, Rocket Racoon went through many surgery’s to survive his life. Well, thanks to the love and care of a Weymouth animal hospital a local, real life Rocket Racoon is saved after despicable abuse in Quincy.
Being a cat dad, I can’t even imagine why anyone would harm an innocent life, never mind a defenseless animal. Sadly it happens. But at the end of this dark story, there is light. First, the abuser has been apprehended and arrested. I don’t want to be in HIS orbit when the justice of Karma is served. Thanks to Quincy Police for following this story. According to Boston 25:
Officers responded to an incident on Royal Street on December 30 and were greeted by two arguing neighbors and found a live raccoon suffering from apparent burn injuries in a trap cage, police said.
Video obtained by investigators allegedly showed Andrew Chieu placing the raccoon in the cage and then on top of a can that contained an intensifying fire, according to police.
Rocket Racoon Is Saved
I don’t know if the hospital has named the girl racoon. Because she’s a fighter, according to New England Wildlife Center, who has been treating the racoon for her burns, for this article, I’d like to name her Rocket Racoon, named after the racoon hero in Guardians Of The Galaxy. If you’ve seen the movies, the women are as tough, or tougher than the men, just like our little heroine.
The New England Wildlife Center is designed to help wildlife like Rocket. According to their website:
Our programs and services provide the critical link between animals and people in order to inspire environmental awareness. And to provide the skills necessary to make a significant contribution to preserving nature for future generations.
The center does NOT get federal funding. If you are inspired to help after reading this story, you can donate here.
