AARP Sponsors Stones Tour
Well it’s official. You’re never to too old to ROCK. Ask the sponsor of the 2024 Rolling Stones concert. Reading “AARP Sponsors Stones Tour” tells us this. 80 is the new 50.
For years and years and more years, the rock music industry always tried to stay young, and hip, fearing that it would lose it’s relevancy if it got too old.
Well that has changed with the release of the new Rolling Stones album, Hackney Diamonds. This album features both young stars like Lady Gaga, and mature stars like Paul McCartney.
What’s changed about this Stones tour is their sponsor. For this run, the sponsor is not a sexy cool name like Capitol One. There is no cool slug line “What’s In Your Wallet” said from a defiant Samuel L. Jackson.
The Stones are unabashedly proud of who they are, where they have been, and where they are going. Not only is the AARP a sponsor, you can buy presale tickets on the AARP website. According to WCVB:
The band’s 2024 Hackney Diamonds tour, named after their latest studio album, is scheduled to begin in Houston, Texas on April 28. About one month later, the tour’s seventh stop will bring music icons Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood to Foxborough on May 30. Their tour will conclude in mid-July in Santa Clara, California.
Who Else Does AARP Love?
The Rolling Stones are not the only icons that did not shy away from being aligned with the AARP. Stars like Adam Sandler and the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen have graced the cover of AARP magazine. Add to that, 77 year old Dolly Pardon just released a new ROCK album last Friday, with every star lining up to join her to collaborate.
AARP sponsors Stones tour? Cue Huey Lewis. Finally it’s hip to be square.
