This is a very heartfelt story. When you see the headline: Rhode Islander Wants Christmas Cards To Remember His Wife, you immediately feel the holiday’s pull at you.

The Holidays Are Here

It hits right around Thanksgiving. The excitement of putting up the tree. Watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Listening to holiday music while decorating. Something in all of us changes. We all become who we truly are. The best in all us emerge, (except on Black Friday at the mall.)

One Man’s Christmas Wish

If we’re not alone this Christmas, we don’t know how lucky we are. To have someone special in your life this holiday season, is the best gift of all.

According to Rhode Island‘s ABC 6:

95 year old George Dowling of Pawtucket Rhode Island is feeling the holiday blues. His wife passed away. So to help George cope, he’s asking people, all people, to send him Christmas cards. His daughter made this post on social media. Last year, he got 14. This year, he’s up to 73!

So George, this former Rhode Islander Wants to send you Christmas Cards today!

It’s in the mail!
