Rolling Stones’ Rock And Roll Circus Remastered and Re-released!

What an awesome collectors box set!! If you haven’t seen this yet, you must! It’s rock and roll at it’s finest.

Some of the participants in this ‘circus’ include The Dirty Mac which included Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell (from Jimi Hendrix Experience), John Lennon and Keith Richards. And  who’s that on guitar for Jethro Tull? None other than Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi who, if it hadn’t been for this television special, probably would haven’t even remembered being in Tull! (wink!)

The Rolling Stones Announce Rock and Roll Circus Box Set

The Rolling Stones have announced a massive new box set reissue of their famed TV special Rock and Roll Circus that comes out June 7 via ABKCO. The concert was hosted by The Rolling Stones in 1968 and included performances from The Who, Jethro Tull, Yoko Ono, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, and John Lennon's supergroup with Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Mitch Mitchell called The Dirty Mac.
