Gwyneth Paltrow’s Ski Crash Trial Will Be A Musical
WHAT?
As you might know, Gwyneth Paltrow drives me BERSERK.
And if she does the same to you, well, I know where you should go in December.
LONDON!
If you were entertained by Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash trial, you’ll love this.
The court case is a Gwyneth Paltrow musical.
“Gwyneth Goes Skiing” will play at London’s Pleasance Theatre.
The show will run from December 13th to December 23rd.
“She’s the Goop-founding, Door-Sliding, Shakespeare-In-Loving, consciously-uncoupling Hollywood superstar. He’s a retired optometrist from Utah. In 2016, they went skiing,” the New York Post wrote, adding:
“On the slopes of Deer Valley, their worlds collided, and so did they — literally. Ouch. Seven years later, in 2023, they went to court. Double ouch.”
If you remember, Paltrow and Terry Sanderson, 76, a retired optometrist collided on the slopes of Utah. Sanderson claimed she injured him in the collision.
He sought $300,000 in damages while Paltrow countersued for $1, claiming that it was Sanderson who actually collided with her.
After deliberating for just over two hours, the jury in Utah’s Third District Court sided with Paltrow.
Then Paltrow walked over to Sanderson – after the verdict – and whispered “I wish you well.”
Oy.
She’s insufferable. But I’m not sure she’s guilty. She said some super annoying stuff on the stand, too, like this when, during her courtroom testimony, Paltrow was asked about the “losses” she had suffered from the crash.
“Well, we lost half a day of skiing,” she said.
The quote quickly went viral on social media with Twitter users mocking the actor over her response.
BECAUSE IT’S OBNOXIOUS.
Linus Karp stars as Gwyneth Paltrow, with promotional photos on the play’s site showing the performer decked out in pink ski gear and in one image holding a candle that says, “This smells like a lawsuit.”
Joseph Martin costars as Terry Sanderson, credited as “The Other Guy” on the site, with original music by Leland.
