Jiminy Glick - aka Martin Short - is at it again! He's killing it (pun intended) in "Only Murders in the Building." If you haven't caught the show, it's a comedic gem.

Martin, along with Steve Martin and Selena Gomez, solve murders in their posh New York apartment building. It's like "Clue" with more laughs and a lot of modern twists. Who would've thought a murder mystery could be this funny?

Well, Martin Short did, of course!

In "Only Murders in the Building." Short plays Oliver Putnam, a down-on-his-luck Broadway director. Oliver's dramatic flair and desperate need for a comeback are comedy gold. Martin brings his trademark energy, wit, and that delightful touch of insanity. Oliver's interactions with Steve Martin’s Charles and Selena Gomez’s Mabel are pure magic. It's like watching a master juggler throw in a few flaming torches for good measure

But let's rewind a bit. Let's talk about Jiminy Glick.

If you don't know who Jiminy Glick is, prepare to have your mind blown. Jiminy Glick is Short's most outrageous character, a hilariously clueless celebrity interviewer. Picture a rotund man in an ill-fitting suit, devouring donuts and asking the most absurd questions imaginable. That's Jiminy Glick. He first appeared in "Primetime Glick," a show that was basically a comedy clinic. Glick's interviews were legendary. Imagine him grilling Jerry Seinfeld about the philosophical underpinnings of "Seinfeld" or asking Mel Brooks about his love life. Every question was more ridiculous than the last, and every answer was met with Glick's incredulous, nasal-voiced reactions. Comedy gold!

Jiminy Glick's genius lies in his absurdity. Martin Short, in that fat suit and with that nasally whine, created a character that was both ridiculous and razor-sharp. Glick's interviews were a mix of nonsense and brilliant satire. No celebrity was safe. He'd throw outlandish questions with a straight face and a mouthful of food, leaving his guests baffled and the audience in stitches. It's the kind of comedy that makes you laugh so hard you snort.

Martin Short's career has been a wild ride. From "SCTV" and "Saturday Night Live" to "Father of the Bride" and beyond, he's done it all. He's won Emmys, starred in movies, and even written a memoir. His personal life? Just as impressive. After losing his wife, Nancy, he's been pretty low key. Word is, he might be dating "Murders" co-star Meryl Streep.

He's a comedy legend and a genuinely good guy.

As for Jiminy Glick?

This character needs to be a constant in our lives. Glick's outrageous antics are timeless. In fact, Jiminy Glick is making appearances all week on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." If you haven't seen Glick in action, now's your chance. Brace yourself for the most bizarre, side-splitting interviews you'll ever witness.

So, here’s to Martin Short—still hilarious, still zany, and still proving that comedy, much like a fine wine or a well-timed pie to the face, only gets better with age. And now, enjoy a taste of Jiminy Glick’s hilarious madness on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Trust me, you'll love him:

‘Only Murders In The Building’ – Scenes From Season 3

Only Murders In The Building is scheduled to return to Hulu for its third (and allegedly, final) season on August 8. Last July, while season two was still airing on the streaming service, it was announced that Arconia neighbors Mabel, Oliver, and Charles (Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, respectively) would reunite to solve another case. In season two, the trio uncovered the identity of who killed Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell). After a one-year time jump, Mabel attends the opening night of Oliver's new Broadway show, which Charles also stars in. Picking up where this cliffhanger left off, in season three, the trio will be investigating another murder.

The Cast, Old, and New

Ben Glenroy,  (played by Paul Rudd) is an arrogant Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. (This happened in the post-credits scene of the season two finale.) Charles "threatens" him before he goes on stage; we can see that the two haven't been getting along throughout the production. When Glenroy starts his opening lines, he suddenly stops, collapses, and blood comes out of his mouth. His character's death will be the central story for season 3, so we will see more of Rudd in the new season via flashback scenes. Also joining the cast is co-star Loretta Durkin (played by Meryl Streep).

Another newcomer to the series is Jesse Williams, who will play a documentarian with a particular interest in the case. Other newcomers Ashley Park, Jeremy Shamos, Linda Emond, and Wesley Taylor are also cast in undisclosed recurring roles. Ryan Broussard confirmed he will be returning as Will Putnam, the son of Martin’s character Oliver. Michael Cyril Creighton’s character, Howard Morris, would be upped to a series regular for the series’ third outing. It is unclear if Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Tina Fey will reprise their roles as Detective Williams and Cinda Canning, respectively.

Showrunner John Hoffman explained to The Hollywood Reporter that, "If season one was a little more focused on the emotional storyline for Mabel and Tim Kono, and season two was a little more emotionally connected to Charles and his relationship with his father and himself, I’m very excited to both lean into the theatrical side of New York City and also into Oliver and his world."

It looks like something isn't sitting right with Oliver, or perhaps he is looking into the crowd at someone suspicious? His taste in sleepwear is exquisite, nonetheless.

The Show Must…

From the new season's first episode, we are introduced to Meryl's Loretta. She seems ditsy and innocent enough, but as we've learned from the first two seasons, that doesn't mean jack s---. We believe she could have a personal vendetta set out against Glenroy. We liked Amy Ryan's Jan Bellows in season one!

The Beat Goes On

From the second episode, Mabel and Will (Oliver's son) hit the stage in the attempt to revive his shaky Broadway show. What better way to solve a murder than put yourself in their shoes (or tapshoes)? We think Will's involvement on stage means he will get more involved in the solving of the murder. After all, he is a Putnam.

Something about Charles Savage pinching his sequined hat doesn't sit right with us. His character looks very out of place in a Broadway musical, but his involvement in the play will probably get us the best information.

Like Father, Like Son?

We know Will isn't Oliver's biological son, but they both very much love each other like they are. Does Will have the theater chops to make his dad proud? We think he does, and that he will be involved in solving the case. Perhaps as bait for the killer?

Regrets, He's Had A Few

MicrosoftTeams-image-9.jpgHulu

While standing in Ben's dressing room, Charles has a look of remorse or sadness. We think he feels guilty about Ben's death and maybe he thinks things could have been different if they got along?

Curtain Call

Mabel isn't really one to hide her emotions and in this still, she seems quite shook at what's going on in front of her. We believe it's Loretta's acting. Though we only see the back of his head, it looks as though it's Arconia's resident yodelshopper, Howard Morris, who said he had auditioned for Broadway.

These two have the look of love written across their faces. Is it the real deal, or is Oliver facing a similar situation that Charles did in season one with Jan (Amy Ryan)?
