Timothy B. Schmitt replaced Eagle, Randy Meisner, in 1977 (read story here). He also replaced Randy in Poco ten years earlier.
He's had a long, storied career in music; everything from singing David Crosby's parts on a CSN album (when Crosby was "indisposed") to auditioning for the Rolling Stones.
He has over a half dozen solo albums, his last three entirely composed by him.
The list of people he's played, toured and sang with is filled with notables: Jimmy Buffett, Warren Zevon, Bob Seger, Boz Scaggs, Firefall, Richard Marx, Ringo Starr, Toto...to name just a few.
It was a real thrill to talk with Timothy B. Schmitt about his new album, Day By Day.
Special guests on this, his 7th solo album, include: Lindsey Buckingham, John Fogerty, Jackson Brown, Kenny Wayne Shephard and more.
I hope you'll take a listen to the album.

42 years ago today (February 17), the Eagles changed the game with Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975).
Meant as a way to boost record label revenue while the band was making Hotel California, Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) was a monster and was the first release to be Platinum certified (1 million copies sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America. Of course, this set would go on to sell far more than 1 million copies. In honor of its release anniversary, here’s Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) by the numbers.
