Oh my. Sexy Rod Stewart looks like a war bunker. Even Rod Stewart could see the resemblance and is amused by the comparison.

Rod Stewart‘s always been a dapper dresser and to see him explore his ‘look’,  from the young ‘Mod Rod” to the mature style icon he is now, has been an adventure for his fans too, of which I am one. He and I had a chat not too long ago, one of many thrills of a lifetime for me.

When you look at pictures of Rod Stewart from back in the day, you can see him slowly introducing his signature ‘look’ in the late 60’s and by the mid ’70’s, he was full “blown out” Rod Stewart with a capital “H” for HAIR.

Rod‘s hair has been the subject of many discussions, debates and observations over the years. Did he actually use mayonnaise to get it to stand up like that? Don’t be ridiculous; though he does say he used warm water and sugar to fluff up his hairdo. (PS Steve Marriot (Small Faces, Humble Pie) and Ronnie Wood (Small Faces, Rolling Stones) had/have the same hair style.)

We all go through our hair fashion trends through the years. Straight hair, curly hair, bangs, no bangs, parted in the middle, parted on the side and of course assorted colors in varying degrees.

Well, somebody with a very keen eye and a good sense of humor saw an old WWII bunker, or as it’s called in the UK, a “pillbox”, snapped a photo and posted it to twitter. That’s funny!

Even Rod thought so!

When you think of Rod Stewart, what's the first thing you think of? Do you perhaps get visions of a rakish Englishman swirling about in your head? Do the opening chords of "Maggie May" seem to start up before you're entirely aware of it?
