Gisele Broke Up With Tom Brady and Booze and She’s Never Felt Better!
Gisele Bundchen is admitting she’ had a rough couple of years.
After the supermodel split with the former Patriot quarterback, she’s had a lot of life changes.
“It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life,” she told People in an interview published Monday.
“I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”
Aside from the divorce, moving, homeschooling her kids for a bit and taking care of her ailing parents, she quit some other things, too.
She gave up alcohol in an effort to sleep better and feel more present in her daily life.
“Right after I turned 40, actually, I felt a huge difference between when I had the glass of wine and when I didn’t have the glass of wine,” she says. “It’s socially accepted to have a glass of wine. And people even say, ‘Oh, it’s healthy for you.’ Well, it is not healthy for me. If you want to ask of your body what I ask of my body, which is a lot, I can’t be having all these things (alcohol, caffeine) because they add up.”
She also gave up caffeine, which seems impossible, but if you can ditch Brady, you can ditch anything.
And maybe the booze thing is a good idea:
It might just be the best thing you can do for your health.
First off, think about all those mornings-after that feel like a herd of elephants is tap-dancing on your skull. No more of those! When you stop drinking, you bid farewell to the dreaded hangover. Your head will thank you for the peace and quiet.
Now, let’s talk about that beer belly.
It’s not a trophy, folks! Alcohol can pack on the pounds, and not the good kind. By quitting, you’ll be ditching the empty calories and saying hello to a trimmer waistline. Skinny jeans, anyone?
Your liver will throw a party (a sober one, of course) when you quit drinking.
It can finally focus on its real job of detoxifying your body without all that alcohol interference. Plus, you’ll reduce your risk of liver disease.
And don’t even get me started on the beauty sleep. Alcohol messes with your sleep cycle, leaving you looking like a raccoon with a hangover. Ditch the booze, embrace the zzz’s, and say hello to that fresh, radiant look.
So, if you’re thinking about quitting drinking, your body will thank you. Hangovers, beer bellies, and sleepless nights are so last season. Go ahead, raise a glass (of water) to a healthier, happier you!
