Girl Scouts Kill Raspberry Rally

The Girl Scouts have confirmed they are discontinuing this cookie flavor after just a year ago.

Girl Scout cookie season runs from January until April of every year.

Last year, they introduced an online-only flavor: Raspberry Rally.

The cookie featured a raspberry filling with a chocolate coating. It launched February 27, 2023.

Within hours, the cookie had sold out from all official retailers. Then the cookies began popping up for resale at wildly inflated prices in an 'unauthorized seller market' on eBay.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Girl Scout cookies had previously been priced at $5 per pack. The Raspberry Rally cookies on eBay sold for anything from $15 to $180 for 10 packages of the sweet treat, according to Today.

"Even now, a listing for Raspberry Rally cookies remains on the auction site - where a single box is priced at a staggering $200", the Daily Mail reported.

"At the time, the Girl Scouts organization slammed the unauthorized resale of its cookies, hitting out at sellers who had taken advantage of the cookies' incredible popularity.

'If you’re buying these cookies at a huge markup, you could and should instead be using that money to support girls by buying other varieties or supporting the program in other ways,' a spokesperson told Today."

So here we are, six months later, and they've scrapped it.

The Girl Scouts short of blaming the resale scandal for its decision.

'While Raspberry Rally was extremely popular last year, we are taking a pause this season to prioritize supplying our classic varieties,' a Girls Scouts spokesperson told Today.

Girl Scouts Kill Raspberry Rally. But that's OK.

Girl Scout cookies – they're like tiny bites of heaven with a side of awesome. These scrumptious treats are not just delicious, they're a super fun way to support our future leaders.

First of all, have you ever met a Girl Scout who didn't sell cookies? Me neither! Those little entrepreneurs mean business, and their cookies mean deliciousness.

Thin Mints are like crispy chocolatey Frisbees that melt in your mouth. You can't eat just one – it's physically impossible. Trust me; I've tried.

Samoas, the coconut-caramel wonders, are like tiny tropical vacations for your taste buds. They're so good; you might want to start a conga line.

Trefoils are the classic shortbread cookies. They're simple, elegant, and perfect with a cup of tea. But don't be fooled by their simplicity; they're like the Audrey Hepburn of cookies.

Supporting Girl Scouts means helping them learn life skills, teamwork, and confidence. Plus, it's the only way to have an excuse to eat an entire box of cookies in one sitting.

Girl Scout Cookies Rated Worst To First! What's a Dud and What's Delicious?

Let's be real, what other time of year can you indulge in a variety of delicious cookies while supporting a great cause? None, that's what.

During Girl Scout Cookie season, your taste buds are in for a treat. From the classic Thin Mints to the underrated Do-si-dos, there's a cookie for every mood and craving. And let's not forget about the limited-edition flavors that come and go like a gust of wind - they're like a treasure hunt for your taste buds.

Actually - Raspberry Rally is the newest flavor and has already sold out.

A quick review?  Not exactly a game-changer. Sure, she's trying to be different with her raspberry-flavored dough and white chocolate chips, but honestly, she's just another generic cookie trying to make it in a crowded market.

She's the middle child of the Girl Scout Cookie family - not the favorite, but not the black sheep either.

Anyway, back to the cookies.

It's about the experience of buying them from cute little Girl Scouts who are honing their entrepreneurial skills, the sense of community that comes with supporting a great organization that empowers young girls. And feeling good about yourself for eating cookies, because it's for a good cause!

So, sure, winter might have snow, spring might have flowers, summer might have sunshine, and fall might have pumpkin spice, but Girl Scout Cookie season has something even better: delicious cookies that make the world a better place, one box at a time.

That being said, here's an unofficial ranking of the Girl Scout Cookie from worst to first. And don't be upset if we've yucked your yum. The best thing about  Girl Scout Cookies is there's enough to go around!

8. Toffee-tastic

I'm not sure who asked for a gluten-free cookie with bits of toffee in it, but they can keep it.

7. Lemon-Ups

Sorry, Girl Scouts, but you're not fooling anyone. These are just knockoff Lemonade cookies with an uninspired message stamped on them.

Trying to capture the essence of a campfire treat in a cookie is a noble effort, but ultimately falls short.
