Massachusetts grandmother saves granddaughter's voice mails and it's the nicest thing in the world.
Pailey Baczek (@therelativedistance) has the best grandmother ever.
The Pittsfield, MA native recently shared a video featuring 18 voice messages from her grandmother. But here's the kicker: her grandmother saved those message over a span of 20 years!
These messages consist of the happy moments of Paisley's life and important milestones, like getting her first scooter. Her grandmother, Joan Johnston, saves simple messages, like Pailey missing her mom or just saying hi.
As Pailey gets older, her voice changes and so do her messages.
This is a definite I'm not crying, you're crying TikTok.
The video starts off with Pailey, who is around 4 years old, saying, "Hey grandma, it's me. I mean me, Pailey. And I just got a new scooter. It's pretty; I love it."
She tells her grandmother to call her back if she gets the message and then hangs up.
In the next message, she asks her grandma if she could come over and watch G-force with her as a 6-year-old.
At 7 years old, she asks her grandmother if she is home and could tell her mom that she loves her.
Then at 13, tells her grandma that she just wanted to say goodnight and she loved and missed her. She also adds that she misses Oliver too and to give him kisses on her behalf. She sounds more like a grown up and that's where it kind of gets sad.
At 15, Pailey tells her grandmother she's almost 15 and wants to leave a voice message. She says that she's sorry for being "a terrible, terrible kid for 15 years." In the final message, Pailey is 17 years old and tells her grandma that she has gotten a job.
Here's the TikTok:
Now, when everything is recorded and photographed, this might not seem like a big deal. But I don't have many recordings of myself as a kid and zero of my grandmother. So this is just the nicest thing.
