Cereal for dinner?
Letās face it. These are tough economic times for Americans. Inflation has taken a big bite out of our food budget. And we are looking for ways to save money. One idea from the folks at Kelloggās was to start eating cereal for dinner. Is that such a bad idea?
People say they enjoy having breakfast for dinner. That usually means eggs and bacon with toast or a nice omelette. For some having breakfast for dinner means a heaping helping of pancakes or even French toast. Most of us donāt think of having a bowl of cereal for dinner. Until now .
When we think of breakfast cereal it takes us back to our youth because it was a quick meal that we didnāt need our parents to fix for us. You could just grab a box of your favorite port in a bowl add milk and you were done.
Maybe we donāt think of having breakfast cereal for dinner because it was something that was done by kids, college students and people on a tight budget.
Tough times at the grocery store
With these tough economic times maybe we should reconsider the idea. There are plenty of healthy cereals that you can choose from. You donāt have to eat the sugary kid stuff.
If you choose a healthy option you might actually be doing something good for you as well as saving money. Ā Thatās what the boss at Kelloggās was trying to say. At least thatās what we think.
