Is Cheese The Secret To Living A Long Life?

If you’re like me, you love cheese but know that a little bit of it can go a long way in destroying your diet. What if we found out that…

If you're like me, you love cheese but know that a little bit of it can go a long way in destroying your diet. What if we found out that the secret to living a long life was eating more cheese? That is the news we cheese lovers have been waiting for.

Americans can not get enough cheese, all of our favorite meals include it somewhere. Whether it's on a pizza, a burger, a sandwich or as a part of a wonderful cheese board or as they called now, charcuterie.

Every party worth going to has a table with cheese and crackers somewhere or it's just not the same. We love to nibble on the various cubes and slices of the many different varieties like, cheddar, brie, Swiss, and Gouda. All you need is some quality crackers and maybe a slice of pepperoni or salami and you got yourself a nice little cracker sandwich.

The problem with all of these delicious cheeses is, they have a lot of calories and it's very few of us that can only eat one or two pieces. Most of consume way more than the suggested serving and that is the real problem with cheese, too much will make us fat.

Eat cheese for life ( a longer life)

Most of the "secrets" to living a long life are NOT fun:  Eating healthy . . . exercising . . . and somehow avoiding stress and lack of sleep.

So this is different:  What if the secret was . . . eating more CHEESE?

There's a new study out of China that says that the single most important contributor to healthy aging and longevity is "mental well-being" . . . and there's also a "strong connection to cheese consumption."  (???)

Before you get too excited, there definitely isn't a direct connection between chowing down on Cheez-Its and eternal life.

Here's their logic:  To live longer you need a happy mental well-being . . . and those who reported the most robust levels of mental health and stress resilience seemed to eat more cheese and fruit.  (Is that a stretch?  Sure.  Will I use it as an excuse to order extra mozzarella?  Yes, definitely.)
