The Two Travel Hacks You NEED to Know!
Traveling?
By plane?
Honestly, air travel these days is like taking a bus to Cartagena – hot, uncomfortable, crowded and probably ending in violence.
But this flight attendant has some travel hacks that will make your trip a little less stressful.
It also answers those tricky questions like “Who has custody of the arm rests? Who is in charge of the window shade? And do I have a right to put my seat back?”
Meanwhile, every week there seems to be flying PR disaster. During Christmas, Southwest went berserk, cancelling flights all over the country.
And this week, the FAA got hacked or had some computer meltdown, which led to the grounding of all planes across the United States, causing cancellations and delays and crippling air travel for hours.
“Longtime aviation insiders could not recall an outage of such magnitude caused by a technology failure. Some compared it in scope to the nationwide shutdown of airspace after the 2001 terrorist attacks,” according to the Associated Press.
John Cox, a former airline pilot and aviation safety expert, said the aviation industry has talked for years about trying to modernize the NOTAM system, but he did not know the age of the servers that the FAA uses, AP reported.
“I’ve been flying 53 years. I’ve never heard the system go down like this,” Cox told the AP. “So something unusual happened.”
Good times.
Anyway. Here you go!
