What’s In The New McDonalds Happy Meal?

Come on get Happy!

McDonalds knows that a lot of their customers are nostalgic for simpler times when they were taken to the Golden Arches for a Happy Meal box with a small burger, French fries and drink and a fun toy (that you would tire of by time you got home).

Micky D’s is bringing back its family of recognizable figurines in a new adult Happy Meal, which, yes, includes the toys.Ā  But this time, itā€™s just for adults. October 3, customers can order a Cactus Plant Flea Market Box ā€” a Big Mac or 10-piece chicken McNuggets, with fries and a drink. The meal is a collaboration between the streetwear brandĀ  that has Kanye West as a big fan of their clothing line.

Adult food comes with familiar toys

No more pretending it’s for the kids!

The food will be served in a specially designed box that should trigger memories of Happy Meals from the old days. Toys include redesigned takes on McDonaldā€™s famous mascots, including Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie, plus a new one named Cactus Buddy.

ā€œWeā€™re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonaldā€™s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way thatā€™s hyper-relevant for our adult fans,ā€ said Tariq Hassan, McDonaldā€™s USA chief marketing and customer experience office in a release.

Bob is a native New Englander, growing up (sorta) in Maine where his love for radio started at a young age. While in high school he hosted radio shows on a local radio station, and he has never looked back. Bob joined the US Navy and served onboard the Sixth Fleet Flagship as a radio and TV host. After serving for 3 years, it was off to Emerson College in Boston. Bob hosted shows in Boston on WMEX, WVBF and WSSH in the 80ā€™s and 90ā€™s before heading to radio stations in Raleigh, NC, Manchester, NH, and New York City. Bob has been married for almost 25 years to Carolyn, a Woburn gal and they have 3 daughters, Nicole, Taylor, and Bridget. Bob and Carolyn are proud first-time grandparents to baby Caroline, who they plan to spoil every chance they get! ā€œI started my career in New England and could not be happier to come back to Boston where I can root for all the Boston sports teams and eat lots of lobster rolls and clam chowder (okay not lots)ā€¦ It is an honor to host the WROR morning show with LBF and wake up the Worldā€™s Greatest City!ā€ Bob writes about recipes and restaurants, pop culture and trending topics.

McDonald's Announces Return of the McRib, Fans Lose Their Minds

McDonald’s McRib fans are counting down the days until November 1 after the fast-food giant announced the pending return of the popular sandwich.

McDonald’s made the news official tweeting out, “nobody: . me: i think it’s time to bring the McRib back 11.1.” PerĀ USA Today, “Last year was the first time since 2012 that the sandwich was available nationwide. InĀ October 2019, it was available for a limited run.”

Even though the announcement was subtle, the reaction to it certainly was not. Here are some notable responses to the return of the McRib, from fans to even other fast-food brands.

  • UNO was pumped about the news.

  • Meanwhile, Arby's opted to throw some MAJOR shade.

  • At the end of it all, most people seemed pretty pumped about the return of the McRib.
