“For Norm Laviolette, part of new ownership for the Brockton Rox and leader in the Boston entertainment scene, winning the bid to bring The Savannah Bananas to Boston is just part of a bigger vision for the future of the Brockton Rox,” the statement said.
“Laviolette, who also owns and operates Improv Asylum and Laugh Boston, as well as a number of other comedy, corporate training and entertainment venues throughout the country, is aiming to bring this fan-first, fun-first style of entertainment baseball to Campanelli Stadium on a regular basis. Coming off a season in which the sons of five former Red Sox legends (Pedro Martinez Jr., Manny Ramirez Jr., D’Angelo Ortiz, Jaden Sheffield and Kade Foulke), the Brockton Rox make another splash ahead of its campaign next summer.
