For 2022 the NEW list is out! What are Bostons TOP dog names!? We got boys and girls!

Back this year, are some familiar favorites, as well as your traditional doggie names. Plus, some new entries for 2022!

Does Localism Matter?

When you see Bostons top dog names, you may say, wait, I know NUMBER ONE! But in Philly, Rocky isn't number one.

But trust me you'll find it on Rover.com's list of the most popular names.

Great question! For example, back in 2012, the top trending name was Bailey.  Today, top trending new name is Fezco. No, it's not the name of an insurance company. It's the name of a bad ass character on the television show Euphoria.  No, Jaybeau is not trending, yet.

Dog Names Vs Cat Names

Being a CAT Dad, (I'm not weird, yet) I must admit, cat names lean more silly than dog names. For example, we'd never name our dog, Winston Purrchill. There must be a law for that.
As you'll see on the list, our dog names represent a symbol or strength, pride and trust, features, traditionally not found in our cats, except my cat, Bobo, who was a dog, in a cats body.  Don't get me started. But, you can't argue that a BOAT load of LOVE went behind naming a cat, Winston PURRCHILL.

Ok, here we go! Let's take a look to see Bostons TOP Dog Names!
