With all of the exciting and ever changing Bruins news last week, I became very nostalgic for my favorite Boston sports photos!

Those great moments that included Fisk, Big Papi, and Manny. The NOT so great moments, the Pedro Don Zimmer video. But wait…BUCKNER. Do we need to be reminded of THAT?

The Bruins Chatter

Last week was a big week for the Bruins. The last time the Bruins WON the Stanley Cup was WAAAAYYY back in 2011.

According to Boston.com, times maybe changing:

And to think, some among us figured Don Sweeney was all done dealing.

That was a reasonable assumption last Thursday, when the Bruins general manager acquired defenseman Dmitry Orlov and right wing Garnet Hathaway from the Capitals for center Craig Smith and an assortment of draft picks, including a 2023 first-rounder.

One week and a couple of unfortunate injury circumstances later, and Sweeney’s actions Thursday morning — one important trade, one long-awaited signing, revealed within a short time — stood as the greatest confirmation yet of his determination to punctuate this season by winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in a dozen years.

The TOP Seven

These photos are basically the most memorable sports photos of our time in Boston, and New England. I’m sure I have left out many, but these are the pics that perhaps have become the most famous, over the years.

So let’s take a ride back through time and see if you remember some of these amazing Boston sports photos!
