Meet The Laziest “Working Dog” In America

Meet the laziest "working dog" in America, his name is Donuts, which should tell you everything you need to know about him. Donuts is a sheepdog, a breed known for their ability to help shepherd and coral sheep. We're not sure if that's he's so tired, but in this video we see him being woken up in the morning by his owner. Let's just say, if he a snooze button he would have hit it a few times before rolling out of his bed of hay in the barn.

Donuts is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees mix  from a working farm in Virginia, whose job is to keep an eye on his farm's sheep at night in the barn and then make sure they don't stray away during the day. The problem for Donuts is, he doesn't like to work that much for a working breed. His co-worker Britches is bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning when their owner comes into the barn for the morning wakeup call. Meanwhile Donuts is seen lounging and barely able to keep his eyes open long enough to get a glimpse of his herd.

He falls back asleep and wants no part of this working life business. His laziness has become a viral sensation on Tik Tok and Instagram. It seems people can relate to his lack of motivation.

Donuts is one lazy dog

The Pyrenean Mountain Dog is a French breed of livestock guardian dog. It originates from the eastern or French side of the Pyrenees Mountains that separate France and Spain. That area was  famous for it's sheep herding and a good working or herding dog was an essential part of keeping track of your herd.

Let's just say Donuts would not be the most reliant sheep herder for any shepherd in need of a good worker. Nope, he would probably be found in a shady spot under a tree just chilling out and waiting to call it a day. That's we  has such a following, there's a little Donuts in all of us.
