Well now I’ve seen everything! According to CBS Boston, a man and his pet got escorted off an MBTA bus. What kind of pet you ask? A pet RAT! You heard me right, a pet RAT!

So Transit Police were called to a T bus in Jamaica Plain last night, after a passenger brought a rat on the bus. It was on a bus in Jackson Square around 5pm. The passenger was a 56-year-old man who had his pet rat sitting on his shoulder.

Transit Police said that “other riders felt unsafe and excited.” The officer explained the T’s policy about not allowing animals on the bus to the man, and escorted him and his rat off the bus.

Here’s the tweet sent out about the incident.
