Dave McGillivray, the Race Director of the Boston Marathon, is internationally known for his ability to organize and facilitate one of the most famous marathon's in the world. Dave is also a legendary runner from Medford, having run the Boston Marathon 46 times. He has run across country twice and completed the World Marathon Challenge, seven marathons in seven days on seven continents, last February.
He has done it ALL, yet he recently faced the greatest physical challenge of his life. Less than two months ago, Dave had triple bypass open heart surgery. Turns out, sometimes you can't control bad genetics. Dave spoke to Hank about what happened and what he hopes to do in the near future. Will he run "Boston" for the 47th time next April?
