Mookie Betts had a night to remember at Fenway Park last night. The New York Yankees won’t soon forget it, either. The All Star right fielder’s grand slam in a 9 run 6th inning propelled the Red Sox to a 14-1 win over the Yankees. Mookie finished up 4 for 4 with a double, grand slam, 4 rbi’s and 5 runs scored.
Hanley Ramirez had 2 hits and 3 rbi’s, Andrew Benintendi had a double, triple and 2 rbi’s and J.D. Martinez had a single, double and 2 ribbies. Chris Sale pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball, with 8 strikeouts for his first win of the season.
