“Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.” Those lyrics from the iconic TV theme song to Cheers played in the background last night, outside the TD Garden as snow fell lightly from the sky.
It was in celebration of the announcement that TD Bank would hold on to their naming rights to the Garden for another 20 years! Cheers to another 20 years! And to best of luck to beloved teams that call the TD Garden home, the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. We look forward to some great country music at the Garden this year as Thomas Rhett will play here for the first time on July 8. Thomas’s Home Team Tour will bring Cole Swindell and Nate Smith to the house that Bird built. (Ok, technically, it was another building, but you get the point.)
