If you were to ask my wife and daughters if I eat what they consider to be grossest foods, ranked. The overwhelming answer would be an emphatic Yes!
Some of my favorites are the type of foods that most people wouldn’t put anywhere near their mouths. I am talking everything from tinned fish of all types to my choice of candy.

For me sardines and canned smoked oysters are a delicious treat that I have regularly. In fact, if you look in pantry you will see all types of canned fish. I love anchovies and believe they are a must on a proper Caesar salad and should be welcomed on a pizza.

These days people are too quick to dismiss a food they would consider to be gross. We are in the food comfort zone, unwilling to try new things and sticking with the same basic food items.

When you look at other cultures and the foods they eat, you will see some things that might turn your stomach. I’m talking about everything from eating insects to intestines.

One of the most popular shows on Netflix is Somebody Feed Phil, a food and travel show where the most likable host, Phil Rosenthal goes around the globe to eat the best foods from that particular place.
He’s traveled to all parts of the world sampling foods that would not travel well.

It’s amazing to see what the inhabitants of these cities consider to be delicacies. It makes you wonder if these people would think our food staples are gross.
