What does raising SIXTY FIVE MILLION for Dana Farber sound like? Here’s the PMC weekend in sound and pictures!
The Pan Mass Challenge is a wrap! WROR is once again honored to be the official, exclusive radio partner for the PMC.
Post Covid
What was most special about this year, is that PMC is back in the saddle post Covid. The full team was back with all the routes, systems, local help and security in place to insure a safe, successful ride for the 6000 plus riders.
PMC Facts
In 2022, the PMC has a fundraising goal of $66 million. There will be more than 6,300 registered riders riding between 25 and 211 miles on PMC weekend, August 6 & 7.The PMC has raised $831 million since 1980.The PMC donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
What If I Want To Ride Next Year?
This morning, over 6000 registered riders woke up, maybe a little sore, but very satisfied that they helped raised over 65 million dollars for The Dana Farber Cancer Institute. If you saw some of these riders over the weekend, or know someone who rides, you maybe inspired yourself, to get involved. I’ve been doing the PMC Opening Ceremonies LIVE broadcast on WROR for over 4 years, from the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge. Each year, I’m amazed at the commitment from the people I meet. Some, have been FLYING IN from other parts of the country, for YEARS to join this amazing cause. Therefore, everyone knows someone how has, or had cancer. Imagine, 6000 plus people are RIDING for that very reason.
Do I Need To Ride To Donate?
Driving by these riders each year is very inspiring. You don’t have to ride to help. Click here to read all about the Pan Mass Challenge and how you can donate to Dana Farber.
