With a name like Geno, you'd think I'd be a cannoli guy. Sorry... I'm not. I'll get one from time to time on my North End visits. But let me 'fess up. Authentic Italian desserts are not my favorite. I love Italian food in general. Pasta, chicken parmesan, a crusty bread dipped in oil and Balsamic vinegar... I love it. But when it comes to desserts, I usually load my box up with pretty basic stuff.
Waaaaaaaaay better than Hostess.
Strawberries and cheesecake are a magical combo.
Anything with M&M's... I'm down.
Probably the most authentically-Italian dessert I do like.
Hands down my must get... every time.
I'm not a big macaroon guy but the ones at Modern are good. Nor do I like the Macarena.
Tom Hanks ruined eclairs for me after that scene in "Catch Me If You Can." Well...almost ruined them.
Honestly I like the cupcakes at Mike's better... but Red Velvet always works for me.
Living in Florida also helped me appreciate strawberries more.
