2018’s Golden Globes Nominees – Did Your Favorite Make The List? -LBF
Since I watch A LOT of television, I think I might prefer the Globes to the Oscars. The TV factor AND the fact that most people are drunk, the show doesn’t take itself too seriously and the host is usually NUTSO. (I’m talking to you, Ricky Gervais!)
Of the nominations, here are my favorites in BOLD: (And if have no opinion, I’ll leave it alone. )
Also, I need to UP my movie game! I haven’t seen many at all! – LBF
Best Actor in a Limited-Series or TV Movie
Robert De Niro, The Wizard of Lies
Jude Law, The Young Pope
Kyle MacLachlan, Twin Peaks
Ewan McGregor, Fargo
Geoffrey Rush, Genius
Best TV Movie or Limited-Series
Big Little Lies (HBO) This has to get it. It’s well-acted, is perfectly paced and it’s all about women gaining back their power. Totally 2017.
Fargo (FX)
Feud: Bette and Joan (FX) (This is my runner-up. Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange simply were perfect in these roles as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. A master class in acting.)

Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited-Series, or TV Movie
Lara Dern, Big Little Lies
Ann Dowd, The Handmaid’s Tale (My pick. Measured, creepy, oddly maternal all rolled into one horrible woman. Dowd is a revelation.)
