“Beaver Cleaver” became a household name 60 years ago today as the star of the tv show “Leave It To Beaver”, which mixed clever comedy with life lessons. Beaver was the elementary aged son of June and Ward Cleaver, a typical couple in 1950’s middle America, where Mom stayed  home and raised the family and Dad went to his office job everyday from 9-5. Beaver’s older brother Wally was always giving him advice that he didn’t seem to follow and usually ended up in some sticky situation!

Six decades after the first episode aired the show continues in re-run syndication!
