These would be very interesting road trips!
The folks at the travel site Wanderu have compiled the list of the Most Peculiar U.S. landmarks and there's one Massachusetts spot that has made the list. Before we reveal where it is, let's talk travel. We all have memories of summer travel, for most of us it was a road trip to a destination to a familiar place, the beach, the lakes, the mountains, these days people want a more unique experience.
The stranger the better?
Sure everyone you know is traveling to exotic places and posting endless photos of their fabulous lunches and drinks on their Instagram and Tik Tok sites, but do you really need to see yet another "feet in the sand" pic? Why not try a stranger destination? Somewhere Most Peculiar. Somewhere off the beaten path that will really get your juices flowing. When you look at your social media newsfeed of posts and pics what do you see most?
Life Ain't Always A Beach
Your friends might have spent their summer vacations in Italy or Sicily, or on a cruise? The photos are pretty much all the same nothing very peculiar to see. Unless...you do something very different.
The folks at Wanderu have done the homework for us and their results are a surprising list of places you may have never thought of visiting but aroused people enough to give them the most views on TikTok.
To identify the most popular peculiar landmarks in the U.S., we first compiled a list of over 100 popular landmarks across the nation, according to sites like Buzzfeed, The Daily Meal, and Moneywise. From there, we turned to TikTok to identify the associated hashtag with each landmark and recorded the number of total views for videos attached to that hashtag. We compared each individual landmark’s views to gather our final ranking.
