It's called the Spencer Christmas Parade Of Lights. You've never seen this many ILLUMINTATED Jeeps, floats, fire engines, boats and even a lawnmower! If you live along Route 9 in Spencer Massachusetts, you get a front row seat of the coolest parade ever!

Parade Of Jeeps In Spencer!

Each year, residents in the town of Spencer, and other surrounding towns meet in the parking lot of David Prouty High School, for an hour of Christmas cheer. Hundreds of participants from Spencer and neighboring towns spend hours, sometimes days building and creating over 100 different floats creativity decorated with it's own unique Christmas theme. All of the floats were wonderfully illuminated with a variety of lights. Some had animation like a working reindeer. Plus the kids got a surprise visit from Santa himself! Many of the participants are owners of local businesses, or just townies!

What's most impressive, is the amount of time and effort that is given by these wonderful people to create and build these amazing floats, and illuminated vehicles. The parade only lasts for ONE HOUR. Add to that, many local first responders along with local fire stations do their part. They donate their valuable time to decorate their vehicles for the parade spectators.

Route 9 Is Closed, And NO ONE Minds

Around 7pm on parade night, THOUSANDS line up on both sides of Route 9 in Spencer to witness this holiday event! It starts at David Prouty High School.

What's amazing about this event, no one seems to mind that Route 9 on a busy Saturday night is CLOSED for an hour. Yes, there is a detour, but it takes you the long way around downtown Spencer.

As a Spencer resident, I want to give my heartfelt THANK YOU.  The participants, directors, local Spencer Police, Fire, and First Responders did an amazing job!

So we've waited long enough. Let's see the Spencer Christmas Parade Of Lights!

This snow man brought his own smoke!

Igloo

I think the local law enforcement turn the other cheek for an hour once a year. This is a zero turn lawn mower disguised as an igloo. They almost fooled us.

Jeep ON A JEEP?

This one I can't explain, exactly.

Snoopy!

It's not a real Christmas parade without SNOOPY! (Actually a member of the Spencer Fire Department.)
