Snowbirds, here are the top five cities to spend the winter. If you're lucky enough to break away from another cold New England winter, then you should check these out. For a lot of us leaving the snow behind is living the dream. We all friends or family that consider themselves to be "snowbirds". People that spend a few months down South or out West. They usually take flight either just before Thanksgiving or after the holidays.

Can you blame the birds?

How can you blame these snowbirds? They probably have spent more than their fair share of time in the cold North and have just about enough of our long winters. Years of dealing with all the snow, freezing temps and shoveling and plowing the driveway added up and they don't want to do it anymore.

Escape the high cost of heating

Not to mention the cost of heating your house is now literally through the roof. For a lot of folks on a fixed income, the high energy costs are budget busters.  If  they have a place in a  warmer climate and get around those steep prices, who can blame them?

Cabin fever dreams

For anyone who is not a fan of New England winters they understand what cabin fever is. When you think about the long winter months, you would have to admit winter sometimes starts in November and can last all the way through April. That means you’re spending a lot of time in your cabin after that much time, you will definitely have a case of cabin fever.
