It seems like an alphabet list. Rodgers, Springsteen, Tyler: The Alphabet Injuries and Illness. Who’s next? Now we don’t wish this on anyone. But it seems every minute, a new name is reported to be injured or come down with an illness. I’m not making this up, but 2023 has not been our luckiest year for health. Who are the latest on our A-Z list?

Steven Tyler

Injury: Vocal Cords

It was announced that Aerosmith postponed ALL of their September shows because front man Steven Tyler damaged his vocal cords while singing. USA Today shared words from Steven himself:

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding,”

Aaron Rodgers

Injury: Achilles Tendon Torn

What a terrible start for the New York Jets, as their brand new quarterback, veteran Aaron Rodgers got knocked out of his FIRST SEASON with an injury. CBS Sports reports:

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers‘ 2023 season is over before it ever really got started. After the quarterback was injured on his fourth play of the Jets’ opening game, head coach Robert Saleh told reporters following the Jets’ 22-16 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills that they feared the four-time NFL MVP tore his Achilles tendon. That is what was ultimately discovered following an MRI on Tuesday, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones reports.

Bruce Springsteen

Illness: Ulcer

After postponing shows earlier this year thanks to Covid-19, Springsteen fans were shocked at the news of more shows got postponed. But it’s not because of Covid. Bruce’s doctors discovered symptoms of a peptic ulcer. NBC reports:

The E Street Band postponed eight shows this month because Springsteen was diagnosed with the common and often painful stomach ailment.

Peptic ulcer disease, a wearing away of the stomach lining, can be asymptomatic in some cases, but others are severe enough to make a patient double over in pain, two doctors said.

One doctor reports that it must be serious if Bruce is taking time off.

So, let’s take a run down the alphabet and see who else made the list of The Alphabet Injuries and Illness-A to Z. It’s not just Rodgers Springsteen and Tyler!

Hollywood always calls these veteran actors “unrecognizable” when we haven’t seen them in a while. I can’t wait to see Hollywood get older. Anyway, Daniel was seen on crutches. No reason was reported why.
