Merry Christmas one and all! December 11, it's Mariah Carey in Boston for one night as part of her thirteen city tour! Mariah will perform not only her holiday hits, you'll hear some of her biggest all season hits, at the TD Garden! So before we dive in to our Everything You Need list, let's take a look at Mariah, today!
Queen Of Christmas?
There is no denying that Mariah's 1994 holiday smash hit, All I Want For Christmas, has catapulted her to the top top top of our minds when it comes to holiday music. So much so that she made headlines when she lost her bid to trademark Queen Of Christmas, in a court case. According to NPR:
That effort proved controversial, as at least two other artists known for their seasonal songs publicly took issue with Carey laying claim to the throne: Darlene Love, who said David Letterman christened her Queen of Christmas nearly three decades ago, and Elizabeth Chan, who describes herself as "music's only full-time Christmas singer-songwriter."
A trademark agency said Mariah can't own that trademark. More controversary was revealed when Mariah said she never called herself the Queen Of Christmas on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert. But I guess her lawyers did!
Hey it's ok! There's enough Christmas spirit for everyone, right!

Parking

I always like to start with PARKING, because THAT’S always the first question we ask when we see a show! While it’s pricy, the North Station Garage for me, is the best bet. If you get there early, there are a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance, weather permitting.
Right off the Garden website:
With the most convenient parking for every game and show, the North Station Garage, located directly underneath TD Garden, offers a flat event rate* of $54 when you enter 2 and 1/2 hours prior to the scheduled event time. Elevators located in the parking garage will bring you directly to the main concourse in North Station.
The garage phone number for general information such as rates and height limits is 617-222-3042.
You can also reserve your parking using Spot Hero.
You pay in advance, and use your smart phone with a bar code. It's easy and fast.
