I don't have a "Valentine" at the moment. But I do have lots of wonderful memories and look forward to making more!

To me, Valentine's Day is for the kind of "like" you feel towards someone other than family. In other words, it's not for giving cards to the kids unless you want to (sorry Hallmark).

So, here's a few things that make me happy, with or without a lover.

Happiness is my new yard...though it looks nothing like this now! It's covered in you know what!! That cold, white stuff everyone complains about having to "move".

Reading a good book...makes. me. happy. I need to make more time to do that!

Happy on a horse. This is my favorite horse, Stormy. He belongs to Amy at Blazing Saddles in Randolph. If I ever hit the lottery....I'm getting my own horse.

jarred salad

Eating homemade healthy foods makes me happy. (And homemade desserts!) Yes, I made this. I make jarred salads regularly. They're portable and I'll eat more vegetables.

This Jeep makes me happy! Jeeps in general are awesome! Because you can do things with 'em! Take the doors off, the top comes off, you can drive 'em through snow! And they park easily!

Awwww....my new kitty, Batman! Funniest cat ever! Taps me on the nose with his little paw in the morning when he wants me to get up! Makes me happy!

This isn't my picture but it's a place I'd love to visit again, Vail, Colorado. I LOVE to ski! Sunday River's my favorite local place but man 'o man, skiing out west is the BEST! There's SO MUCH MOUNTAIN! I've skied Vail and Whistler. One day I hope to ski Utah I hear it's amazing. And for the record, I'm not a "great" skier, I just really like it. it makes me happy! A good concert!! Happiness! Sometimes I even remember them! ;-) Ah, the good ol' days! It's been awhile since I saw a really good show. I think the last one was, hmmm...maybe Joe Perry at the House of Blues? It wasn't my last show but the last one I can remember off the top of my head that left me satisfied.

These guys. Trae Crowder, Cory Ryan Forrester and Drew Morgan. That's some great comedy. Last I read, Trae has a sitcom in the works on Fox for this fall. Wish them all good luck cos these guys are f u n n y!!!! Funny makes me happy!!

My two grown kids. I asked their permission to post this and I still feel like I'm violating their privacy. They are my heart. When they're happy, I'm happy. When they're not, I don't wanna know about it because I can't fix it. Not happy.
