High school nerd… TV was my thing before I discovered radio. Always had a camcorder in my hand since iPhones weren’t such a big deal in 1991.
ShareMom in the kitchen. She was the one who let me dream big.
ShareShe worked so many odd jobs to spoil her only child. I was a lucky kid. She supported me through all my career aspirations - from wanting to be a stock broker to a hockey player to pro wrestler to radio DJ.
Don’t know how mom did it but she’d book trips like this for us to Foxboro to see my hero Rowdy Roddy Piper at Sullivan Stadium
ShareOof that 90s mullet. That’s me on the right. My buddy Scott on the left and Bushwacker Luke around 1990.
ShareScott and I with Hulk Hogan
Share... me pretending to attack him from behind. That would not have been smart. Anyone recognize the other wrestler in the background? Scott would later go on to become "Scotty Too Hotty" in WWE.
Mom somehow scraped enough money together to take us to see WrestleMania 4 in Atlantic City. She could’ve kicked both of their butts!
ShareOne of my first times being a “guest ring announcer.”
ShareThat’s me ringside announcing while Scott gets ready for one of his first matches.
ShareIn studio at my first radio job at “Thunder 107” in Portland, Maine.
ShareFrom my ring announcing days in the 90s, posing in the locker room with Greg “the Hammer” Valentine.
ShareWhile I went to college in Milton, I’d do weekends and eventually became the afternoon guy at WXLO in Worcester.
ShareThis was from the Worcester Centrum around ’98ish. Working in pop music during the boyband era was interesting!
ShareLenny was probably shocked a Boston DJ could pronounce his last name.
ShareHey Hey it’s a Monkee!
ShareI left Worcester in 2002 for the palm trees. I landed in Tallahassee, Florida – where the only exciting thing to do was go to FSU football games.
ShareWorking at the party station Hot 104.9 made for some fun nights for this 20something!
ShareIn 2003, I headed west to live in California. But not Hollywood… that was a day trip.
ShareIce Ice Baby… hangin’ with Vanilla Ice in California sometime around 2008. I left to come back to Boston not too long after.
ShareGetting to work briefly for WBCN was a dream for me. Backstage at the last River Rave with Stone Temple Pilots. Scott was missing. You can probably guess the rest.
ShareWhile working for ‘BCN, I even got to meet my childhood hero “Rowdy Roddy Piper” when he dropped by one day.
ShareOne of the coolest moments ever. Skating on Fenway Park Ice before the Bruins’ first Winter Classic.
ShareAnother one of my favorites as a kid… Ray Bourque!
ShareWhat a morning this was – even got to snap this shot with Brad Park.
ShareAhhh what a time it was to be a Red Sox fan 10 years ago!
ShareIf we meet, ask me to tell you this story about when I snapped this photo with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.
ShareMaroon 5 Boston show
ShareHangin’ with Peter Wolf from the J. Geils Band when I worked for WZLX around 2010ish.
ShareWorking with Toucher & Rich
ShareWhen I came back to Boston to work for these stations, it was the first time I'd come off the air. I was working behind the scenes on the station websites and social media channels. But working with Toucher & Rich fired me back up to want to get back on the air. Will never forget this night CHARLIE SHEEN dropped by at 3AM IN THE MORNING to get interviewed after his Boston "concert."
Would you believe he was the nicest guy ever? He was at least that night.
ShareBackstage with Katy Perry at her Boston University concert
ShareThen it was off to Florida again…
ShareWhen I first moved to Tampa, the Red Sox choked which allowed the Rays to sneak into the Wild Card. The locals loved my costume.
Always rep’d Boston… I still miss WBCN.
ShareDaughtry show in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2013ish.
ShareYep, I even worked in country radio. Still sported my Pats gear in Florida. Got lots of flack for it, but whatever.
ShareHangin’ with Luke Bryan at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas.
ShareLife is a beach.
ShareMost recently, I've been on the air at the legendary Q105 in Tampa Bay. But now it's time to hit the airwaves in Boston!
