Every day is a a celebration with Lucy. When she was born, we were a wee bit surprised to find out she was rockin’ an extra chromosome, but we learned over time this isn’t what defines her.
Here’s what does: She’s a smart, funny, warm kid with a penchant for hogging the microphone on stage and stealing the last cupcake. She loves her friends, her family, Bette Midler, Rhett Butler, and any and all restaurants. She sings Sondheim songs and dances to “Uptown Funk” and brings us joy every day – even when she’s being very pre-teeny. I wished and wished for a little girl and I hit the jackpot with Lucy Rose Falcone.
My mother has always said things best (especially about Lucy), and this column is no exception:
