All day long our cameras will be set up to catch the dramatic Boston Marathon finish line crossings. The weather today is picture perfect. Temperatures should top out around 70 as runners cross the finish line. There’s not a single rain drop in sight. So conditions are perfect for the runners.
Spectators are gathered along the route. The Red Sox started early at Fenway Park. And Boston’s annual farewell to winter is here! (I always feel like the marathon is the celebration of a 26 month long Boston winter, even when it’s been fairly mild like this one was.)
Boston Marathon Finish Line Famous Faces
29,451 runners from 129 countries are entered in the 2024 Boston Marathon. There are some famous faces in the race today. Look for Former Boston Bruin and guy who makes me look like a child even though I’m 6’4″, Zdeno Chara is running. Chara will be wearing bib number 3333. But I think he’ll stand out because he’s 6’9″.
Former New England Patriots favorite Rob Gronkowski kicked the festivities off this morning as the Grand Marshall for the 2024 Boston Marathon.
