From April 4-11, the Emergency Responder Safety Institute and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration will be promoting the “U Drive. U Text. U Pay” media campaign. The campaign centers on aiding law enforcement officers in their efforts to keep texting drivers and distracted drivers off the road. Distracted driving is a first offense in many States and continues to gain recognition across the nation as a deadly traffic safety epidemic. Please use these campaign materials to raise awareness in your community about the consequences of texting while driving.
