Jay Leno has been added to the cast of Midas Man, the upcoming biopic about Beatles manager Brian Epstein, where he will play Ed Sullivan.

This casting news was reported by Deadline, who noted Leno has few live-action acting credits to his name and has primarily done animation voice work. Of course, Leno is best known for hosting  The Tonight Show, so that decision for him to play another iconic host is an interesting move.

Deadline notes, “Filming began last month in Liverpool but had to be put on hold for three weeks [due to a director change.] The plan is to start filming again at the end of this month, with the production moving over to the U.S. early next year.”

Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (The Queen’s Gambit, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker) has been cast as Epstein. The timeline of Midas Man is not currently known, but it clearly touches on The Beatles’ legendary performances on The Ed Sullivan Show.
