20th August 1967: The members of the rock group Cream, (from left) Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton at London Airport on their way to Los Angeles.
Jack Bruce would’ve turned 76 today (May 14), and what better way to honor the late bassist than by looking back to Cream‘s 2005 reunion shows.
By far, the highlight of this reunion was the power trio’s four-night stand at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded and released as a concert film and a live album.
The four Royal Albert Hall shows became one of the hottest tickets that year, with all four shows selling out in less than an hour. It makes this performance of “White Room” all the more poignant.
