Neil Young has issued a brief statement following the January 1 passing of ex-wife Pegi Young.
Young took to his official website on January 5 where he shared the following:
“Thanks Pegi, for being such a wonderful mother to our children. You live on inside of them and the many you have touched.”
This statement was prefaced by the lyrics to “Such A Woman,” a song from the 1992 album Harvest Moon which Neil wrote about Pegi.
In 2014, the couple divorced after 36 years of marriage. During their marriage, they help co-found the Bridge School, which provided alternative education to children with disabilities.
