Red Sox Win The World Series, Beat The Dodgers 5-1 In Game 5.
For the fourth time in 15 seasons, the Boston Red Sox are World Series champions after beating the Dodgers 5-1 in game five last night in Los Angeles. Steve Pearce hit two of the Sox four home runs and was named the series MVP!
Pearce hit .333 in the series with three home runs and eight rbi’s. The much maligned David Price was outstanding on the mound, pitching seven plus innings and giving up just one run, which came on a David Freese home run on Price’s first pitch of the game. Price ended up 3-1 in the playoffs.
