Is Hank Cheap Or Frugal? Hmmm!
Ok, Ok!. Yes, I’ve been called cheap because I don’t like to pay full price. I, however, think I’m frugal. There are some things I’m willing to pay bust out retail for. Sometimes, shoes or certain educational related electronics (Mac Laptops) require paying top dollar!
There is no good reason to pay huge amounts of money for certain things. Among them are well cared for plastic children’s toys. You know, play kitchens, toddler slides, waggons, etc. Over the weekend, I bought two used toy chests that were in great shape, but were a fraction of their original price. Toy chests need to be pretty sturdy and take a beating from kids, so to pay a big amount of money doesn’t make sense, especially if you can get them on Craigslist for 75 or 80 off their original retail price.
Here’s what I picked up for Harvey’s toys, this weekend. The original total retail cost was $450. I paid $80. Am I cheap or frugal?
