This concert makes Joel the first artist to perform three consecutive years at Fenway Park.
“A triple play during a Red Sox game is a rare occurrence; Billy Joel will perform the first concert triple play at Fenway Park on August 18 when he plays the centerfield stage for the third consecutive summer,” said Dave Marsden, Live Nation Boston promoter.
