Michael Hixon from Amherst, Massachusetts is in Tokyo to compete in his second Olympics with the US Diving team. The local athlete hit the pool young following in his mother’s footsteps, also a competitive diver and the diving coach at UMass Amherst. She also served as his personal coach until he started college at Indiana University. Aside from keeping in Rio, Hixon is a well decorated competitor previously winning in the World Championships, NCAA , Pan American Games, National Championships and was a member of the World Cup Team and participated in the Youth Olympic games.
